How do I make an appointment for my boat with Guardian Mobile Marine?
Either call us on 941-803-4153, email us or you can have us call you by submitting your contact information on our website.
Once I have called you for an appointment, what happens next?
We use state of the art software to keep you informed and helps us to keep on time scheduling. You will be sent notification of your appointment, a way to keep track of when the technician will arrive for your appointment. We also offer a customer portal to help us to keep you informed at every step of the way on your service request.
What hours are you open?
We are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. We have weekend appointments on Saturdays and Sundays by a pre-scheduled appointment only.
Do you work on weekends?
Yes we do on a pre-scheduled appointment only basis.
My boat won’t start! Can you come out right now?
We have “Emergency Service” available on a next available technician basis. Please call and talk to us about your emergency.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes we do. We will back up our workmanship for 90 days on our services. Most parts are warrantied through the manufacturer. We also keep records of your part purchases to aid in getting those parts warrantied if needed.
We do not guarantee other issues will not occur with your boat or motor nor can we be responsible for the consequences of failures such as the cost for towing. We strongly recommend Sea Tow memberships and we require insurance policies on boats we work on.
Do you work on 2 and 4 stroke outboard motors?
Yes we do.
What brand of outboard engines do you work on?
We specialize in Yamaha and Evinrude (BRP) products, however we also do select services on Mercury Suzuki and Honda Marine. Please call us with your engine information and see what we can offer you.
Do you work on inboard/outboard (I/O) engines?
Yes, we service Mercruiser and OMC inboard/outboard engines.
Do you work on diesel engines?
We perform scheduled maintenance on certain brands of diesel engines, please call and ask us about your diesel engine.
Do you perform engine maintenance services?
Yes we do. We can tailor a maintenance schedule for your brand and type of engine. Please call for details.
Can you diagnose a “Check Engine” light on my gauge?
Yes, on certain models of engine, please call and talk to our service manager about your engine.
What does a “Check Engine” light mean?
It can indicate problems with your engine from water in the fuel to a bad sensor on the engine.
I am looking into buying a used boat , can you come out and check it over for me before I buy it?
We do engine and boat inspections for our customers interested in buying used boats. That of course depends on authorization of the seller for us to provide this service to you before buying the boat.
What kind of inspections would you do on boats and engines before I bought the boat?
We have checklists of points that we check on boats and engines for our customers interested in this service. We will provide those check lists as part of the boat and engine inspection.
Does a boat and engine inspection guarantee that I will purchase a boat and engine without any problems with them?
No, however it will provide you with information that is crucial in making a sound purchase. An informed customer is an empowered customer.
Can you fix electrical problems on my boat?
Yes we can. We offer a full range of electrical services to boaters.
Do you work on boat electronic equipment, like GPS and depth finders?
We work with the electronic equipment. For instance we can find out why your GPS won’t come or we can install a new antenna for it, however we do not work on the devices themselves. For instance if your display is garbled or the device won’t perform a certain function.
Do you install new equipment like a radio I just bought or that new GPS unit I got for Christmas?
At Guardian Mobile Marine we certainly can and will install devices and equipment that you purchase for your boat.
